HomeBLOG-ENGLISHWhat to do on a rainy day in Split?

In this article you will find out our recommendation on what to do on a rainy day in Split. Guests often ask us what to do on a rainy day? Our most popular, answer is “Go shopping”! Anyway, what is a holiday without a little bit of shopping, right? Keep dry and hit a shopping mall or two we say!

The major shopping malls in Split

There are two major shopping malls in Split, City Centre One and The Mall of Split. Both of these giant shopping malls are equipped with tons of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinemas and more. There is also a third shopping centre called Joker that is easily accessible by foot from the city centre. Joker has four floors of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema and a fitness centre, this substantial mall can keep you occupied for a few hours for sure.

The break down of the two major shopping malls in Split

Firstly, The Mall of Split has 200 stores, cafes, a food court with many restaurants, cinema including MX4D, supermarket, the brands that differentiate them are Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Teddy and Pepco.

Secondly, City Centre One has 190 stores, cafes, a food court with many restaurants, cinema including MX4D, supermarket, plus the Museum of Senses and go-kart. In my opinion they have one up of The Mall of Split with these additional entertainments of the museum and go-karting. Brands that differentiate them are H&M, C&A, Müller, XZY and a department store called Peek n Cloppenburg.

Both of these malls have kids’ playrooms giving parents the chance to shop in peace while their children are supervised and entertained.

Both of these malls are in close proximity to each other which is a good thing if you are in a dilemma of deciding which one to visit. Our suggestion is you visit both malls in one day. They are literally a few minutes’ drive apart from each other. This way you don’t feel as if you have missed out on anything. Just keep in mind that on a rainy day both malls will be pretty busy however they are both gigantic and have thousands of parking spaces also public transport is reliable and available.
